Legal Market Report 2014

Our 2014 Market Report combines our review of the prevailing conditions in the in-house legal recruitment market together with the results of our 2014 employer survey. We look to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the in-house legal recruitment market. The results of the survey together with our own experience allow us to report that confidence has returned. There is strong demand and for many of those companies looking to recruit, there is a shortage of lawyers with the abilities and experience they require. 
  • 44% of in-house legal departments believe they do not have sufficient resources for the demands that are made on them.    
  • The majority of legal departments would like more control over their recruitment.
  • 48% of departments report they have found it difficult to recruit.
  • 64% of departments will either definitely need to recruit or are likely to recruit in 2014.
