Digital Security Architect (SVP)  – Information Security, Software, Innovation, Mobile, Web, Architect, Banking, Perm, New York, New Jersey 

Our leading global tier one banking client is requiring a Digital Security Architect to support its high-risk mobile and web applications. We are seeking a multifaceted digital security leader who can perform the fundamental roles of a digital security architect, which include but are not limited to: defining, designing, and validating the security controls built into the applications and deliver secure application architecture and design. This role will play an essential part in architecting secure applications that gives business a competitive edge in a challenging and growing digital age.

This position is to sit in a designated innovation and research practice attached to the consumer banking division of my client. The position will have dedicated time devoted to furthering the InfoSec roadmap and future proofing the bank. This hub works in a very collaborative manner with research partners and institutions to help solve the most complex problems facing the security function. 

 Main responsibilities;

  • Deliver secure application architecture and design.

  • Build application using monolithic, micro services and Restful APIs.

  • Understand the current and emerging threat landscape and defend them.

  • Work across development, fraud, business, and architecture teams.

  • Drive changes needed to respond to emerging threats and business needs.


  • 10+ years of information security, compliance and risk management experience.

  • BS degree in CS (or related Information Technology field).

  • Strong knowledge of software security for web and mobile applications.

  • Hands on experience with security controls such as brute force, Cross Site Scripting, Bot attacks.

  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as Waterfall, Agile, RAD.

  • Understanding of information security and risk analysis processes and threat modelling.

Successful candidates will have the ability to work autonomously and be able to bridge the gap between deep technical knowledge and information security initiatives across the firm in order to influence business development and security protocols across the company.
