Job Description

This new, in-house, security management post will be responsible for all security issues across Afghan operations and potentially some other high risk locations, working on a 10/3 rotation.  It will establish security-related policies to ensure all activity is in compliance with local legislation, developing and embedding effective risk mitigation strategies, security protocols, standard operating procedures and guidelines based on best practice to cover staff and operations in country. You will also manage the local intelligence programme to ensure business decisions are effectively informed and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of security management in hostile environments, ideally within Afghanistan.  You should be able to operate at a strategic level, whilst not being averse to rolling your sleeves up.  Candidates require initiative, maturity and the ability to quickly develop relationships both within the business and with external contact.  Intelligence management and business continuity experience would be advantageous.
