Executive Search

Where a role is very senior, business critical, requires global coverage, or for multi-vacancy campaigns, our clients will often retain Barclay Simpson to perform a full executive search. For an executive search Barclay Simpson works in step with our client to ensure a white-glove recruitment service which maximizes the chance of a successful long-term placement and minimizes the risks of hiring the wrong person – or not hiring at all.

Our Executive Search Process

Executive Search mandates are led by the Practice Head in the given region, and where this is a global search they are supported by the International Partners of Barclay Simpson who work at an international level to ensure a collaborative worldwide search. For each Executive Search mandate we hold a detailed discovery session with our client to ensure we understand as much as possible about their business and the role. An individual research team will also be assigned to map the market to ensure we are targeting the very best and brightest in the specific discipline.

During the campaign, Barclay Simpson will hold regularly scheduled project briefings with client stakeholders to update on progress and share information about the search. As part of this process we provide feedback on how the role/brand is being perceived within the market and any difficulties or opportunities we have encountered, and work with our clients to enhance their recruitment narrative.

We interview every suitable candidate against pre-agreed competencies and criteria either in person or, when not geographically viable, via video conference. Our global network of offices means we have managers and partners in a range of locations able to meet international candidates. A shortlist will then be provided within a pre-agreed timeframe and we work closely with the client throughout the interview and selection process. When a suitable candidate is selected we carefully manage the offer process and ensure the individual is on-boarded smoothly.
